First off let me say this chair is liberating! It is easy to fold and put in the trunk of both my SUV and my husband's car. The seat and backrest are soft for easily bruised bodies. Very comfortable compared to anything else I tried. Now for the issues...When I checked this out at a showroom I noticed the headrest was broken on one side which made me nervous. I was told by the salesman it was damaged in store and not to worry as it was much sturdier than it seemed. Unfortunately within 3 uses my headrest met the same fate. Not even sure how it broke just noticed the 4th time using it the headrest was wonky and sure enough it was broken. Second issue was it came with only one of the batteries plugged in took us weeks to figure this out. When we went on a trip and had to remove the batteries my husband noticed only one battery plugged in. This was not explained to us at the dealers office. Would be helpful to know. Then the last issue was the bolt on the right side of the footplate came loose and disappeared in flight. Even with the few issues we have had and are waiting to hear back on from comfygo I would buy this chair again. It is a great chair even with the few issues.
I received my Majestic IQ-9000 with auto-recline yesterday. I used it today at a county fair. I couldn't go without this. I had a great time. I'm going to enjoy having this freedom again to go farther than I can walk. I love it. My husband wants me to learn to drive it better though. LOL. Thanks so much.
Just set up our chair which was very easy. My husband is coming back home after 3 months of hospitalization and is thrilled to have this chair for getting around the house and finally being able to go outside on his own.
I haven't got my chair yet as I just ordered it yesterday. But my experience with the company has been amazing so far. The website was easy to use and read and then when I called, my call was answered immediately. Mark on the sales team was so helpful and patient with me. I had so many questions and he answered them all and help me make the right choices based on my needs. It wasn't about selling me the most expensive items but making sure he understood my needs and giving me all the options available and advantages and disadvantages to each. Very impressed with the company's customer service at thus point.
While at the Abilities Expo in Chicago, I came across the Comfygo display. As I was looking at the chairs, staff member, Jorge, approached and engaged about my interest and needs. I explained that my spouse is the one that would be using the chair but was unable to make the Expo. He took his time showing me all the features, comparing different models let me he try the Majestic IQ. I love how the chair folds and is easy to put in the car. I purchased the chair, took it home and my wife was impressed with all the features, especially how the chair reclines. She finds the chair very comfortable and easy to maneuver. I especially appreciate the remote control that will allow me to operate the chair if she is having a bad day where her tremors make operating a chair very difficult. We both wish we had purchased a Comfygo instead of the other chair we purchased a little over a year ago.
1. Can I turn my wheelchair on or turn off with the remote control? |
No. The wheelchair’s power must be turned on before the remote control is turned on. This allows the controller to pair with the chair. |
2. Does my wheelchair arrive fully assembled? |
Your wheelchair will arrive almost fully assembled. When your wheelchair arrives, you'll need to attach the remaining parts. |
3.Can my wheelchair go on an airplane or cruise? |
Yes. The 7.5AH (180WH) lithium-ion battery is travel approved by most major airlines and cruise lines. Before travelling by airline or cruise, please contact the airline or cruise line to confirm their travel battery regulations. |
4. Can I operate my wheelchair with the backrest in the reclined position? |
The wheelchair will still operate if the backrest is reclined. However, we do not recommend moving your wheelchair while reclined as this could lead to tipping and severe injuries. |
5. I’ve run out of battery. Can I push my chair? |
Yes. The IQ-9000 wheelchair can operate like a manual wheelchair. To do so, make sure the power is off, then disengage both motors by pulling the levers on each motor to the unlocked position. Doing this will set your wheelchair to free wheel mode. |
6. Does my remote control come paired with my chair? |
Yes. The remote control comes paired with your chair. 7. Can I silence the beeping sound my wheelchair makes while reversing? |
Yes. To remove the beeping noise, press the (+) key on the controller until you reach the top speed then hold the button down until you see the amber light in the middle of the display. Quickly press the horn button and the beeping will stop. Repeat these steps if you want the beeping sound back. |
8. Does the armrest raise? |
Yes. Both armrests can raise to allow an easier exchange or to make it easier to push you chair closer to a table |
9. How do I charge the battery? |
The lithium-ion battery can be charged through the joystick controller or directly on the battery. The charge time for an empty battery is 6-8 hours. If your battery has a partial charge, the charge time will be less. When the battery is fully charged, unplug the charger from the battery and unplug it from the power outlet. |
10. Can I install my controller on either side of the wheelchair? |
Yes. The controller will be setup on the right side of the wheelchair, but it can be easily moved to the left side. |
11. Does my wheelchair come with a warranty? |
Yes, The IQ-9000 wheelchair comes with a standard 3-year frame, 1-year motor, 1-year battery, and 1-year electronic parts warranty. |
12. Can I use my wheelchair on dirt and grass? |
Yes. The IQ-9000 can traverse low grass and compacted dirt with ease. |
13. Where can I find the serial number of my wheelchair? |
The serial number can be found in three places, on the frame near the footrest, in the product manual, and on the box the wheelchair was shipped in. |
